“I know my sheep, and my sheep know me.”

Mark spent nearly a decade discerning a call to pastoral ministry—a call that involved following the threads of God’s redemptive work through his own family’s history in Western New York. Having studied photography and filmmaking, he initially sought to tell this story through images, but soon felt the Lord’s invitation to put the camera down and step into the story. Mark believes this is the invitation for all followers of Jesus. God’s redemptive work in our world is not just a story to watch unfold, it is a story to step in to.

Previously ordained as a pastor in the Vineyard church, Mark served on the pastoral staff at Buffalo Vineyard Church on Buffalo’s West Side. He felt the Lord drawing him to the Wesleyan Church after working at Houghton University and learning that the ministry of a few faithful folks at a rural Wesleyan Church in Western New York had led his father’s family to Christ in the 1960s.

Mark is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Northeastern Seminary. He lives in the parsonage next to the church with his wife Amanda and their three young children. They feel right at home here in Fillmore and Allegany County.
